IS YOUR MAKEUP OUT OF DATE?

Did you know your makeup goes out of date? 

More importantly, do you know how to check if your makeup is in date? 

It's very simple. Each makeup product you own will have a jar symbol on it with an open lid. This symbol will have a number in it followed by M, this is the number of months your product will stay in date following the first time it is opened. 

I personally find this isn't so important for powder products but creams and liquids will expire, they can 'split', and therefore not function / perform as they should. 

For me the most important one is mascara, which tends to have a 6 month life span from opening. If your eyes start to get irritated, itchy or dry this could be from your mascara needing renewed. 

Have a check in your makeup bag and see how long you've had some of your makeup! It might be time to treat yourself to something new!
